5 stress reliever for parents by lena
5 ways to overcome stress for parents Becoming a mommy was one of the most rewarding, amazing and stressful things I have ever done! Visiting countries were I didn't speak there language, speaking in front of a couple hundred people with a 2 minute warning, but nothing prepared me for a tiny little baby who is so new to this world and you start wondering about all your accomplishments how they don't compare to raising a human life- teaching him the basics.
Its the most wonderful thing to have this responsibility but also very stressful! I found 5 things to do to relax and enjoy each day.
1. first of all, try to get some sleep especially when the baby is sleeping, don't think about the laundry or dinner, get close your eyes and take a nap. You will feel so much better so when your little angel does throw a royal fit, your more likely to handle it with patience which makes you and your baby happy!
2. I know that it's been said over and over but it really helps to eat the right food. I know first hand that thinking about what to eat is the last thing you have time or energy for but you will feel better after eating a light salad instead of a greasy burger which will actually make you tired in the long run.
3. Take the baby for a stroll out side if the weather is mild. Its good for you and your baby to get some fresh air. Exercising will actually give you more energy because of the blood flow and it's a wonderful stress reliever.
4. Take a long shower when possible, don't think about anything just let the water run over your head and wash the stress away. One other way to relieve stress in the shower is by singing! It doesn't matter if you sing like a star or not but singing lifts your heavy burdens.
5. Lastly, laugh. and laugh a lot. You don't have to go to a comedy club every night, you can find silly things every where especially with your baby being so cute and silly that there lots of things to giggle about.
The way I see it, the longer you live life the harder it gets so don't stress the little things, enjoy everyday like this is your last day, and trust in God to give you peace. Sleep, eat, exercise, relax and have lots of fun!!! You will make it- I believe you can be all that you've always believed to be which is a stress free mommy!
